Integrated diagnostics can improve the quality of cancer care for patients, offering better clinical interpretation with actionable results accompanied by better monitoring and surveillance. Unfortunately, clinical interpretation is not easily mass-produced, and human curation for integrated diagnostics takes time and effort.
Speakers from Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center discussed the role that laboratory professionals can play in integrated diagnostics and efficiencies gained for clinical interpretation and treatment plans.
Speakers also discussed how computational integrated diagnostics effort at MSKCC, automating the merger of radiology, laboratory, pathologic, and genomic has resulted in a curated, live, dynamic diagnostic interface supporting providers who determine treatment and patient surveillance.
Speakers:
S. Joseph Sirintrapun, M.D. Director of Pathology Informatics Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center
Aijazudden Syed, M.A. Senior Leader, Bioinformatics Software Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center
